How Do I Accept a New Patient Request?

New patients can be accepted through Push Health as easily as clicking a button!

Patients looking for new Healthcare Providers are able to enter a request for an online consultation through the Push Health platform. Those requests will be sent to providers based upon the patient's state of residence and the medication they are requesting.

To accept a request you would first login to your Push Health profile. Your provider dashboard should look similar to this:

When you have a new pending request you will see the New Rx Requests button appear in red. It should appear at the top of your dashboard like the example below:

Clicking on Pending Rx Requests will take you to a screen where all your pending requests are waiting for approval. The screen will look similar to this:

Click on the patient you wish to review, and you will be taken to a screen with more information on the patient and their request:

Here you will see the patient's medication request, the reason for the request, and the Professional Fee authorized as your payment for the online consultation. The bottom of the screen will have the pharmacy they wish to send the prescription to and three options for you to select:

  • No Thanks
  • Send Message
  • Prescribe Care

Select No Thanks to remove the patient from your pending requests. The patient will not be accepted into your online practice.

Select Send Message if you wish to accept the patient, but you would prefer more information from the patient before issuing a prescription. This will open up a chat screen for you to start a conversation with the patient.

Select Prescribe Care if you have all the information you need from the patient and are ready to issue a prescription.

Please note: If you accept a patient in error, or wish to remove the patient from your practice upon learning new details, you are able to release them to be matched with other Healthcare Providers. Their pending request will be sent back out to other Healthcare Providers to review and accept.
